Identity as a Mask
My work investigates how identity is constructed, performed, and read through the metaphors of masks on the face and performances. Across projects such as Me, Myself and I, Selfies, Schizophrenic Masculinity, Schizomaica, MYTH, and Cut/Paste, I use drawing, oil painting, digital collage, and mixed media to examine how identities are assembled.
